Following their acclaimed 2022 release of quintets by Shostakovich and Brahms, the Dalí Quartet and Olga Kern, Connie & Marc Jacobson Director of Chamber Music, return to the Robin Hixon Theater, Clay and Jay Barr Education Center, opening the 2023 Coffee Concert series. This is chamber music as it was meant to be heard: the communion of gifted artists in an intimate, beautiful setting, among music lovers and friends.
Celebrating Sergei Rachmaninoff’s 150th birthday year, Kern has prepared a series of programs that feature music of the venerated composer and his contemporaries, music that inspired him, and works inspired by him.
