Every family has a secret, or two, or three. Three Decembers follows a family through three decades of life – 1986, 1996, 2006 – as they grapple with AIDS, addiction, dysfunction, and deceit. This thoroughly modern tale is paired brilliantly with music and voice, and while poignant, these characters deliver sharp wit. Centered around the life and time of a Tony Award-winning Broadway Diva in the twilight of her career, Virginia Opera welcomes the real-life Tony Award-winning actor Karen Ziemba as their lead!
