Join TCC at their new Visual Arts + Design Center for a talk with Asa Jackson, founder of the CAN Foundation, to learn how to build your foundations and jumpstart your career as a working artist in Hampton Roads.

Asa Jackson is an American artist, curator, and arts director based in Newport News, VA. His work has been exhibited in across the United States and has been purchased as a part of various prominent collections including the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, the Capital One Corporate Collection, and the Hascoe Family Collection.

Jackson is the co-founder and executive director of the CAN Foundation, a not-for-profit arts with a focus on artist development, arts education, and public projects based in Hampton Roads. The mission of the CAN Foundation is to build sustainable careers for the creative class while strengthening communities through the arts. TCC's Visual Art + Design Center have teamed up to collaborate on the exhibition "A Look Within" on view at the VADC through Nov 22. This is a great opportunity to check out the exhibition before it closes.

Where is this located?

TCC's new Visual Art and Design Center is located in Downtown Norfolk at the corner of Boush and College Place.

Where can I park?

Parking is available throughout Downtown Norfolk. There is street parking off Boush as well as the Freemason Parking Garage, York Street Garage, Banks Street Garage, MacArthur Mall Parking Garage, and a parking lot off Granby St all within a short walk away.
