Spend your Easter Sunday in NEON with brunch at Commune NFK and then a listening party from Heard Productions, who uses the power of a shared story to create community. You will hear five stories told in the style of your favorite podcast or public radio show—only this time you will listen with friends and snacks instead of headphones and a commute. Featuring local audio producers and change-makers:

* Vanessa Pazmiño with an audio piece on racial equity in education and government
* Hannah Sobol with an audio piece on racial equity and communities affected by redlining
* Jackie Glass and Hannah Sobol with an audio piece from their podcast Your Neighbor's Hood
* Saher Mirza with an audio piece on religious freedom
* Christina Kimbrough with an audio piece on mental health

Five pieces in total will be broadcast to the listening party -- 60 minutes of audio, which will be interspersed with intros from each audio maker.

Where the artists in the "Shine a Light" exhibition provided visual input on the issues of today, Heard Productions aims to isolate your experience to purely auditory as another way to understand the worldviews being explored in these pieces.

As you listen to the pre-recorded stories, feel free to view the art, work a puzzle, color, but be sure to allow yourself to really listen. Artwork featured on the puzzles and coloring pages is generously donated by artists featured in "Shine a Light."
