The Hampton Roads Sports Commission is excited to announce the inaugural Bob Dandridge MLK Holiday Basketball Classic Presented by Truist, a one-day high school basketball showcase which will take place on Jan. 17, 2022 at the Norfolk Scope Arena.

Named in honor of the former Norfolk State and Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame inductee, the classic will feature an action-packed day of six exciting basketball games featuring top Hampton Roads high school teams. The event will take place on Martin Luther King Day in January.

The tentative schedule is slated to begin at 10am on Jan. 17 with five more games following in succession. Teams that will be featured in the event include boys teams from Kecoughtan, Maury, Lake Taylor, Oscar Smith, Green Run, Menchville, Woodside, Kings Fork, Western Branch, Cape Henry and girls teams from Monacan and Norview high schools.

 

Game Schedule:

10am- Norview/ Monacan (Girls)
11:45am – Western Branch/ Menchville (Boys)
1:30pm- Lake Taylor / Woodside (Boys)
3:15pm- Kecoughtan / Green Run (Boys)
5pm- Maury / Oscar Smith (Boys)
6:45pm- King's Fork / Cape Henry (Boys)
