Join us for an invigorating early morning expedition along the scenic Elizabeth River Trail. Led by Kindra Greene, Executive Director of the Elizabeth River Trail Foundation, we'll delve into the trail ecosystem's resilience strategies against coastal challenges. Begin your day with a cup of steaming coffee as we discuss the current state of the trail and its surroundings, followed by a leisurely walk to explore how Downtown connectivity with neighboring areas is shaping the future landscape. Let's embark on a journey of discovery amidst nature's beauty and urban planning insights.

About the Elizabeth River Trail Foundation:
Since its founding in 2016, the Elizabeth River Trail Foundation has focused on planning, enhancing and marketing the trail’s 10.5 miles. The Elizabeth River Trail connects segments of Norfolk’s working waterfront with scenic routes past historic landmarks, local gems, and beautiful parks highlighting the diversity of Norfolk while providing a riverfront sanctuary amongst the urban energy of our City. The trail runs through and along 28 unique neighborhoods and will eventually expand east continuing along the Elizabeth River, allowing even more neighborhoods to be within a five minute walk of the Trail. The nonprofit foundation's goal is to create the most connected, accessible and resilient riverfront trail in the country.
