Artist Bio:
Alora Bess is a passionate advocate for the power of creative expression and self-exploration. As the founder of Studio Kuumba, she is building a welcoming space where adults can rediscover the joy of creative play and unleash their inner artist, all while prioritizing self-care and well-being.

A true believer that art is a fundamental human need, a powerful tool for relaxation, and a joyful way to connect with oneself and others. As a self-taught artist and entrepreneur, she is dedicated to fostering a nurturing, supportive and inclusive environment where everyone feels comfortable experimenting, exploring, and expressing themselves authentically.

Driven by the desire to help others rediscover the joy and freedom nurtured through creativity, Alora is excited to share Studio Kuumba's unique approach to self-care and creative exploration with the community.

This workshop is free and open to the public, but your RSVP gives us an idea on what to expect! We accept walk-ins and RSVPs, but all spaces are first come first served - an RSVP does not guarantee your space. Please arrive on time.

*If you can no longer attend and need to lift your RSVP, please contact us at cmoore@d-artcenter.org or call 757-625-4211.

With help from the Program for Improving Capacity and Capability (PICC) Grant, the d'Art Center is able to bring back free programming for our community, but we need your help to gather information required by the grant to meet our goal in Connecting the Community with the Visual Arts. Before the activity begins, attendees will be asked to fill out a Participation Card that includes questions such as age range, zip code, etc.
