With the Downtown Improvement District celebrating 25 years, there's no better time to get to know all that the DID has done. DNC members are invited to have coffee with Mary Miller, President & CEO, and dive into the intricacies of the Downtown Improvement District (DID).
Gain insight into how the 50-block DID contributes to the enhancement of Downtown Norfolk and how the Downtown Norfolk Council manages the DID under a contract with the City of Norfolk, ensuring that our region remains a safe, attractive, and exciting destination for residents, businesses, and visitors. We will also highlight the funding model that supports essential services such as cleanliness, public safety, marketing, and hospitality, which go beyond standard municipal offerings, and take a look at how DID revenue has changed and what impacts that has on DNC services and overall budget.
