Free performances in Downtown Norfolk, May 13-22, 2022

Innovative, impossible, acrobatic, graceful, breathtaking…adjectives don’t do justice to the performances of BANDALOOP, which take place in midair on buildings and other man-made structures as well as in nature. In their Norfolk engagement, the BANDALOOP dancers will perform stories above the ground, scaling and dancing on the side of the Wells Fargo Center at the northeast corner of Monticello Avenue and Charlotte Street. Literally turning the dance floor on its side, the dancers prance and leap, pirouette and partner along the building, high above the ground.

Virginia Arts Festival will offer these performances to the public – free, no tickets required. For the best view, audiences are encouraged to gather on Scope Plaza, and feel free to bring lawn chairs, etc. to enjoy the show.
