Join the In[HEIR]itance Project for a theatre devising workshop centered on the unique history of Coastal Virginia, to create a play for the Virginia Arts Festival in May 2022 at Norfolk’s historic Attucks Theatre.
The In[HEIR]itance Project is a national arts organization that helps unconnected neighbors navigate challenging civic conversations through collaborative theatre projects. Our work brings people together to listen, learn, and collaborate to create a piece of art.
At this gathering specifically for Hampton Roads artists and creatives, I[H]P artists share initial ideas for the play, and ask for audience feedback on material that has developed (scenes, themes, etc). You’ll have the opportunity to share your perspectives on your city, hear about the experiences of others, and help shape these pieces in development for the play!
