Explore abstract painting with d'Art Artist Kym Long-Wallace during this free workshop in conjunction with Samaritan House and their Paint 757 Purple campaign. Learn complementary colors and how to create colors from a limited palette, with purple as your main color.

Since 1984, Samaritan House has helped individuals and families free themselves from domestic violence, human trafficking, sexual assault, and homelessness in Hampton Roads. Paint 757 Purple is Samaritan Houses annual fundraising event to help raise awareness about the far-reaching impact of domestic violence.

While this workshop is completely free to attend, we will be accepting donations for Paint 757 Purple, but this is optional and not mandatory to attend.

Date: Saturday, October 12th
Time: 12-1PM
Location: Main Classroom at d'Art Center on 740 Boush Street in Norfolk, VA
Ages: All ages 8+*
*Children must be accompanied by an adult.

This workshop is free and open to the public, but your RSVP gives us an idea on what to expect! We accept walk-ins and RSVPs, but all spaces are first come first served - an RSVP does not guarantee your space. Please arrive on time.

*If you can no longer attend and need to lift your RSVP, please contact us at cmoore@d-artcenter.org or call 757-625-4211.

With help from the Program for Improving Capacity and Capability (PICC) Grant, the d'Art Center is able to bring back free programming for our community, but we need your help to gather information required by the grant to meet our goal in Connecting the Community with the Visual Arts. Before the activity begins, attendees will be asked to fill out a Participation Card that includes questions such as age range, zip code, etc.
