Silversun Pickups' new album "Physical Thrills" is a collection of songs written during the pandemic lockdown. The band wasn't initially planning on making an album, but the isolation led to new musical ideas and experimentation. The record features a mix of styles, including shoegaze, danceable tunes, ballads, and even "dream shanties." The band members all contributed more to the songwriting and instrumentation on this album, resulting in a fresh and exciting sound.
