Join Norfolk Arts at their Offsite Gallery at MacArthur Center, on the 2nd floor across from Sephora, for the closing of their current exhibition by April Taylor Martin, Senior Supervisor of Visual Arts for Portsmouth Public Schools.
The work in this exhibition explores the process of seeking knowledge, and tries to connect with essential truths about our "Cognition Transmission". April investigates questions about what we pass on from generation to generation and is interested in how things beyond words impact our consciousness and are transmitted person to person, moment to moment.
Follow the link to hear about April's process using common household materials to include Spices, Lemon Juice, Coffee and even Fire to create artwork.
April received a Master of Fine Arts Degree from Norfolk State University and Old Dominion University and a Bachelor’s Degree of Fine Arts from Old Dominion University.
