Norfolk's Dog Parks

The Department of Recreation, Parks and Open Space has established dog parks in various city parks and open spaces. These parks provide an area where dog owners can allow their dogs to run leash free, subject to certain park rules. Click here for dog park locations.

In addition to the numerous dog parks managed by the City of Norfolk, private opportunities are also available:
Bea Arthur Dog Park, 501 Front St.
This 1-acre dog park features a large expanse of lawn, double-gated entrance, a water station, a toy bin, a shaded picnic area, and an easy-access ramp for dog-paddling in the Elizabeth River. Managed by PETA.
